Deserah Alvarrez Arthur of “Teachers today challenge tomorrow”, first off I could not agree with you more from the top of your post to the bottom. Personally these types of decisions strike right at home because I am an education major and it’s scary to know what teachers are facing. Even here in Austin, TX there are 8 schools at risk of closure, where will these teachers go, how will the student react when they lose that life changing teacher and put into an environment they are not familiar with? Will those be the next line of burglars or murders? Because the message sent to them is that even if you’re doing well in classes and your teacher is doing well on evaluations they are only seen as a dollar or change. Once again I agree with you and I believe that teachers should not be put in this position and they should be paid more.

Amputation
Amputation is “to cut off (all or a part of a limb or digit if the body) as by surgery” according to dictionary.com. Amputation has been an issue for all countries and places in general since the beginning. Amputation is also the subject and issue many of our soldiers are being faced with as well as the question asked after coming back with broken and shattered legs or any limbs that 9 time out of 10 an unfixable limb. Historically you would get something amputated if you had gangrene or something similar but most commonly found around the military. Back in that time getting an amputation was pretty much the last straw to your life with a leg, but with the new innovations of prosthetics some people are able to restore their walking, running and pretty much anything a normal leg can do.” “I think we’ll see late amputations continuing, the numbers will increase,” says Col. James Ficke, the orthopedic consultant to the Army Surgeon General, who has performed these operations at Brooke. The belief is that after your accident and the pain and hardships the everyday life will be challenged resulting in a person just ready to give up and say I want more equaling a new amputation patient. I believe that this innovation is wonderful and really worth while; it’s designed to basically predict your movements so that it’s like your actual brain sending the message. If you have ever known someone that has either lost an arm or leg you know the most difficult issue or wall to climb is the actual fact that they will no longer be able to use what they once had and that they will have to adapt a new style of life. Some people may have been the best basketball players in the neighborhood or maybe even the city, but with the missing limbs they can’t resume that path, unless they look into the new prosthetics. This innovations strikes me as an important finding and this technology can be used all around the world, And all it takes is lithium batteries to run.

Holy Matrimony
Holy matrimony I do not believe that this is a national issue, especially being that many countries allow the opportunity to have many wives I do agree that it is wrong based on my Christian beliefs that no one man should have more than one wife however the Christian belief and rituals that we follow today are not the same as our founding fathers and even then many important people did not want god to have any business in the work place or laws. However it would not be changing the laws because the bill of rights set out in the first amendment that we have freedom of expression and you would not have to try to find a loophole its right there in plain sight. You said “I do not agree with because it has not been accepted in the history, so why should it start now?” well everything in history has changed and is steady changing, in my opinion history is like rules, they were meant to be broken, or in the case of history it was meant to be changed because change is the foundation of history. If nothing ever changed then what would make history significant. History is made to change but not be forgotten and in modern times if you do not accept that then you are left behind, so although it may be against your morals I would definitely pay attention to the fact that all things in history are changing you just are against this particular subject with a biased view from your beliefs.

Gadhafi steady losing
I’ve been following the Libya situation and over and over I am reminded of many leaders of other nation going against their people and killing them left and right and also watching the United States do nothing. As I mention often that, not long ago there was a documentary about a genocide in Darfur, Sudan and the documentary was filmed by an ex united states marine sergeant, he reported all that he had saw and voiced that he believed it was time for the united states to step in and stop the chaos, and as he was told many times NO. Instead they wanted him to stay there and continue witnessing brutal murders. This was just one place, and there are many nations facing genocides and the United States DID NOT WANT TO intervene but now they want to involve our nation into a potential war. Personally I believe that if we just talk the game instead of actually acting on it we will continue to decrease the so called alliances and supporters of Gadhafi. There are already talks and of people doing so and as well as just deserting Gadhafi. Currently there is a rumor out that Libyan Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa was resigning. Now this is a rumor, however he would not be the first to leave Gadhafi’s side. Gadhafi is steadily making mistakes and it is currently on the team that you need to break away from, coming from British officials. I believe as well as the British officials that in order to resume any true reform or better yet create a reform and a sense of political transition. But really the best thing to do in our nation’s state of being is to either back all the way out or just take the serious violent approach.

The Libyan Crusade
This time I ventured out to counterpunch mainly because I liked the name, but was not disappointed after seeing the different adequate blogs going on inside the site. I followed my initial blog concerning the mini scuffle in Libya by reading Mr. George kazolias blog. His blog consisted of a lot of informative history of all the opponents in this current scuffle, and I already knew that the oil and money was the major issue because what else can we fight about? So reading and realizing that that George is obviously against the USA being involved it made a little sense being that we are aiding a select few that were pretty much never concerned with us and instead working together to supply each other with arms and money in elections such as the alleged money given to Sarkozy from Libya in the 2007 election, and the British prime minister Blair selling arms to Qadaffi. This post may be biased but then maybe not because George stated that he did not like Qadaffi and that the feeling was mutual resulting in several lost attempts of George trying to get a visa to report, after stating that they did not like each other he still is yelling that the US get involved. Plain and simple George saw that there are unfaithful people involved in the fight so the US would not really be able to decipher if we were aiding someone that actually cared about the US. Personally I disagree and believe that the US should interfere because we as a nation are supposed to stop people like Qadaffi and in many cases we have sat and observed resulting in no action, but many lives that could have been spared. However the way I see it is similar to George’s in the sense of we could be interfering in a game that involves opponents wearing the same color jerseys. It’s just like a couple of long time friends that let a girl/boy come in between them and then they go at each other, sometimes they realize after some damage is done and stop and sometimes its till the death.

No air strikes for the O force
I believe this particular article is probably intended for a more of republican viewer. I believe that this is the case because the comments being said about President Obama. The comments were basically pointing out his flaws and about the “no fly zone” in Libya. For example in the Washington’s post article the closing statement was “The Obama administration has developed a reputation for not being able to close the gap between rhetoric and results. Libya may be another case where Mr. Obama simply lacks the right stuff”. The article is said to be by the Washington times but with a few quotes from the Whitehouse chief of staff William Daley. This article is basically pointing out the amount of effort the us is putting in to stop or help get a grasp of control in Libya. Many comments are made about the Whitehouse’s input and the judgment from the Whitehouse to not act on the situation, one comment even said that Paris was showing more spine than Washington. Some Congressman in the us as well as NATO and a few Arab states believe that there should be a “no fly zone” over Libya put in place. The “no fly zone” is one of many solutions that can be done to aide in the crisis in Libya however this is the most backed idea. Much history goes into play if no action is taken such as the Bosnian civil war in 1992-1995; the US was seen as the nation that would practically be flies on the wall as long as no one invaded our soil. I agree with this article as far as the fact that there needs to be some sort of resolution involving aide, because our defense is the best and there is no serious threat, knowing our military and the outside support we would have in acting on Libya.

No fly zone
I read this article on USA Today in hopes to see the cease of the murders, not instantly but definitely in the plans. There are many family’s trying to escape their execution but with very little aide. It is said that we have very few options on what we can do to stop the Libyan leader. I personally feel that this particular article is important because it involves us as a nation and what our money could potentially be going toward waging. The situation in Libya is one of many that involve a genocide and the us against the ropes on what they can do if anything at all, There was actually a documentary a few years back called The Devil Came On Horseback. The documentary showed the genocide in Darfur and all that we did to help. The article is great to follow so that you know what the government is doing in response.
